Vsevolod Guzov

Vsevolod Guzov was born in Krasoyarsk in 1995. He started studying cello from the age of 7 with J.B.Sorachan at the Krasnoyark Children's Music school no 1. In 2005 he transferred to the Moscow Central Music School, where he has been studying with Professor Lev Evgrafov.
Guzov has given many successful concert performances in Moscow and other Russian cities , as well as abroad in Austria, Turkey, Israel, and Switzerland. In 2007 he was the 1st prize winner of the Knushevitsky international cello conpetition which took place in Saratov. Other prizes to his name are the Grand Prix of the Internaional festival of Slavic Music in Moscow, and the Grand Prix of the «Nutcracker» International Television Competition in Moscow. His latest success was his first przie victory in 2010 at the 44th Interational Radio Competition for young musicians «Concertino Praga» (in the Czech Republic). Vsevolod Guzov is a scholarship holder, offered by the cultural and humanitarian programme of the M.L. Rostropovich Foundation.
